 DAY 1

Malta to Tirana | We meet at Malta International Airport at 10:00 for our departure on flight FR 6339 at 12:05, arriving at Tirana International Airport at 13:35. Upon arrival, we transfer to Tirana city and check in at our centrally located 4-star hotel. In the afternoon, our tour leader will guide us on an introductory walk to explore the vibrant capital of Albania. For those interested, an optional excursion by cable car is available to the Dajti Mountains, located just 20 minutes from the city, offering panoramic views of Tirana and beyond. Afterward, the evening is free for dinner or to discover the city at your own pace.

  DAY 2

Kruja & Surroundings | After breakfast, we set out to explore the historic town of Kruja, renowned as the birthplace of Albania’s national hero, Skanderbeg. We stroll through the Old Bazaar, where traditional crafts, souvenirs, and local specialties create a vibrant atmosphere. Our journey continues to Sarisalltik Mountain, offering breathtaking panoramic views and a chance to capture memorable photos. Here, you may also visit a small Bektashi temple, a place of spiritual significance. We then return to Tirana, where the evening is at leisure to enjoy dinner or further explore the city at your own pace.

  

DAY 3

Shala River & Komani Lake | Today we embark on an unforgettable excursion to the Shala River and Komani Lake, often described as the “Thailand of Europe” for its breathtaking natural beauty. We leave the hotel early, at around 05:30, and drive towards Komani, with comfort stops along the way for coffee and refreshments. From here, we board a boat for a one-hour scenic ride across the lake, surrounded by dramatic mountains and crystal-clear waters. Upon arrival at the Shala River, we take time to explore this idyllic area, where you can relax, enjoy a drink, or have lunch by the river’s edge. In the afternoon, we return by boat to rejoin our coach for the journey to Shkoder and check in at our hotel. The evening is free to enjoy dinner or explore the city at leisure.

 

DAY 4

In Budva & Kotor, Montenegro| After breakfast, we set out to explore the stunning Montenegrin coast, visiting the medieval towns of Budva and Kotor. Our first stop is Budva, one of the Adriatic’s oldest settlements, famous for its charming Old Town, narrow cobbled streets, and beautiful seaside views. You will have time to wander through the ancient walls, discover local boutiques, or enjoy a coffee with a view of the sparkling bay.We then continue to Kotor, a UNESCO World Heritage Site nestled at the foot of dramatic mountains along the Bay of Kotor. Surrounded by well-preserved Venetian walls, Kotor’s Old Town is a maze of stone-paved lanes, quaint squares, and historic churches. You may wish to climb a portion of the fortress for breathtaking panoramic views of the bay. In the afternoon, we travel back to Tirana and check in at our hotel. The evening is free to relax, enjoy dinner, and experience the vibrant atmosphere of Tirana at your own pace.

 

 

 

 DAY 5

Berat, the “City of a Thousand Windows |After breakfast, we set out towards Berat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Albania’s most picturesque towns. On the way, we make a short stop of about 30 minutes in Belsh village, where you can enjoy a coffee, use facilities, and take photos of the charming lake. We then continue to Berat Castle, a remarkable hilltop fortress offering stunning views and rich history. Afterward, we explore the traditional quarters of Berat village, with its distinctive Ottoman-era architecture and lively atmosphere. Here, you may also enjoy lunch in a local restaurant before we return to Tirana. The evening is free to relax, dine, or discover more of the city at your own pace. & free evening

  DAY 6

Gjirokastër & the Ksamil Beach | After breakfast in Tirana, we depart for southern Albania to visit Gjirokastër, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the “Stone City.” Famous for its well-preserved Ottoman architecture, cobblestone streets, and slate-roofed houses, Gjirokastër offers a glimpse into Albania’s rich history and culture. We explore the impressive Gjirokastër Castle, which towers above the city and offers panoramic views of the Drino Valley. Strolling through the charming Old Bazaar, you can browse local handicrafts, textiles, and traditional souvenirs.In the afternoon, we continue our journey toward the Ksamil Beach, one of Albania’s most beautiful coastal gems. With its crystal-clear turquoise waters and soft white sand, Ksamil is the perfect spot to unwind, swim, or simply enjoy the serene Mediterranean scenery.In the evening, we return to Gjirokastër for an overnight stay. You’ll have free time to relax, savor dinner at a local restaurant, and soak in the peaceful atmosphere of this historic town.

  DAY 7

Day 7 –Blue eye, Permet & Return to Tirana | After breakfast in Gjirokastër, we first one of the Albania pearls blue eye we have 45 minutes to explore the beauty of the spring and take some pictures than begin our journey back toward Tirana, stopping along the way in the picturesque town of Përmet, often called the “City of Roses.” Nestled in the heart of the Vjosa Valley, Përmet is known for its natural hot springs, friendly locals, and stunning mountain landscapes. You’ll have time to stroll through the charming town center, enjoy a coffee, or take photos capturing the beauty of southern Albania’s countryside. After our stop, we continue to Tirana, where we’ll check in at our 4-star hotel for our final night in Albania. The rest of the day is free to relax, explore the capital at your own pace, and enjoy a last evening savoring the lively atmosphere and vibrant dining scene of Tirana.

  DAY 8

Departure | After breakfast, we transfer to Tirana International Airport, with the coach departing at 07:20 for our return flight at 10:00. We arrive back in Malta at 11:40, bringing our memorable Albanian journey to a close.
